Camp Weaver Closing Awards Ceremony

Camp Weaver Closing Awards Ceremony

A week at overnight camp helps kids grow in many ways.  They will learn to live by the four core values of the YMCA: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.  We want to celebrate their achievements, and we invite you to join us!  Our brief closing awards ceremony allows you to participate in your child's experience at camp and gives you a chance to show them you are proud!

Please arrive at camp around 5:30-5:45 on Friday.
Check out in Casper Hall.
We will direct you to our lakeside amphitheater to participate in the Closing Awards Ceremony.

Cookouts at Camp

Cookouts at Camp

Starting this summer we are hosting a fun family cookout for your camper's Sunday send-off.

We'll fire up the grill during check-in for overnight camp.  (3pm-4pm)
Feed the family for less than $5 dollars a plate and ALL proceeds will go to our "Send a Kid to Camp" scholarship fund.

Every summer we team up with families and community organizations to provide children with the camp experience.  Our "Send a Kid to Camp" campaign funds:
  • Need-based scholarships.
  • Camp sessions for children in foster care.
  • Camp sessions for children who have a parent in active military duty.

All children benefit from making friends, learning independence, and trying new activities at camp.  We do not turn anyone away from Camp Weaver because of inability to pay but we rely on YOU to help us provide this invaluable experience to kids.
